We want you to love your candle as much as we love them! Here are some quick tips and tricks to get the best burn every time.

Trim the wick. Every. Single. Time.

We strongly recommend trimming your wick to at least 1/4 -1/2 inch every single time you light your candle. You can use scissors, clippers, or a wick trimmer. No matter what you decide, always trim your wick! This keeps the wick from mushrooming, smoking, and producing soot. It also will give you a more consistent, brighter burn.

Remove Trimmings

ALWAYS remove the trimmed wick from the candle to prevent any fire hazard.

Full Melt

Once you have lit your candle, DO NOT blow it out until the top layer of wax has melted all the way to the edges of the jar. This may take 2-4 hours, so be sure you are ready to get cozy and stay a while before you decide to light your candle.
If you fail to achieve full melt, you will eventually get tunneling. This is a process when the wick starts to sink lower and lower, creating a tunnel right down the center of your candle. Eventually, the tunnel will grow so deep it will be tough to light the wick at all. Once this process has started, it is very hard to reverse. So for the sake of your peace of mind and your candle, always achieve a full melt.

Follow Instructions on Warning Sticker

On the bottom of every candle there are safety instructions for burning your candle. We recommend burning your candle for no longer than 4 hours at a time. Never leave a candle burning unattended.

Storage

Always store your candles in a cool, dark, dry place. Storing them in direct light may cause them to become discolored or warp.
Keep the lid on them until you are ready to burn to prevent dust build-up. If dust does form, use a dry or damp cloth to remove dust before burning.
